Soccer League Scheduling Software

Soccer league scheduling software for leagues that share fields.

Fields are the scarcest thing your league has. SportsPlanr builds the regular season, playoffs and tournaments from the field time you already have — games, practices, travel and every club's blackout dates solved together in minutes, and re-planned when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Fast and easy, from setup to the last game.

  • MinutesTo build a full season
  • SecondsTo re-check a rule change
  • Plain languageTo set up your rules

Describe your league's rules in plain language, or use the forms. A Spot Check tells you straight away if they can't all be met — before you generate anything — and you confirm every change.

Built for the league with more teams than fields.

SportsPlanr is not a field-booking system, and it is more than a soccer schedule maker. It takes the fields and permitted time your league already has and turns them into a season that works.

  • District and inter-club leagues whose teams come from several clubs and play across several towns.
  • Recreational and competitive divisions sharing the same parks, school fields and domes.
  • Outdoor and indoor seasons run by the same organization under one subscription.
  • One volunteer scheduler who currently builds the season in a spreadsheet, over several weekends.

Your fields, your rules, solved together.

Any one of these is easy on its own. The hard part — the part that eats a volunteer's weekends — is all of them at once: fields, divisions, practices, travel and blackouts competing for the same time. SportsPlanr solves them as one problem, and tells you before you generate if they can't all be met.

Lit and unlit fields

Every field has its own available time. An unlit field's evening ends at dusk; a lit field's runs late. Games are only placed where they fit.

The right field for each age group

Keep small-sided divisions on small fields and full-field divisions on full-size pitches by limiting each division to the fields that suit it.

Kick-off times by division

Earlier kick-offs for younger divisions and later ones for older players, with allowed days and times set per division or team.

Club blackout dates

Tournament weekends, holidays and school events, entered once per team or division and respected across the whole season.

Doubleheaders, only where you allow them

By default a team plays once a day. Allow two games on one day at the same field, with the gap you set between them, for the divisions or teams that want it.

Practices on the same fields

Practices compete for the same field time as games, so they are scheduled together rather than squeezed in afterwards.

Travel between towns

Each division sets the days and times its teams can travel, and away games are placed inside those windows.

Fair home and away

Balanced home and away games, even start times and enough days between games for every team.

Soccer regular season, playoffs and tournaments, in one place.

Every part of your year is built from the same fields, in the same place, by the same scheduling engine.

  • Regular season. Every division's games and practices across the whole season, with travel and blackouts built in.
  • Playoffs. Seeded matchups, configurable series formats and a structure that progresses as teams advance.
  • Tournaments. Round-robin group play, bracket structure and seeding, with game progression handled for you.
  • Compare before you publish. Build several versions of any schedule, read each one's report card, and publish the best.

Storms, closed fields, team changes? Reschedule only what has to move.

Mid-season, things happen that nobody planned for: a thunderstorm, a field closed for repairs, a club that loses its permit, a team moving divisions. SportsPlanr re-plans only the games affected, with every rule still applied — no rebuilding the season, no starting over in a spreadsheet.

  • Say what changed. A field is closed for the weekend, a park loses its permit, a team moves divisions.
  • Pick the date the change takes effect. Everything before that date stays exactly as it is.
  • Only the affected games are re-planned, with every rule still applied.
  • Review every move before it goes live. Where each game was, where it is now and why — then publish or discard. Single games can also be moved by hand.

One scheduling engine, every team sport.

The same engine schedules soccer, baseball, softball, hockey, basketball and volleyball. It has solved complex multi-city league logistics since 2018 — balancing games, practices, travel and contended field and facility time across dozens of sites.

“The time savings were incredible… Hands down, I would use SportsPlanr again.”

Soccer scheduling questions

Does SportsPlanr book fields with the city or the school board?

No. SportsPlanr schedules the field time you already have. Enter the time your permits give you as available time for each field, and SportsPlanr builds the league's schedule inside it.

Can it handle lit and unlit fields?

Yes. Each field has its own available time, so an unlit field's time ends at dusk and a lit field's runs into the evening. Games are only placed where they fit inside a field's available time.

What happens when games are rained out?

Use Reschedule. Say what changed, such as a field closed for the weekend, and pick the date the change takes effect. Only the games that have to move are re-planned, with every rule still applied, and you review each move before anything is published. Individual games can also be moved by hand.

Can teams play two games on the same day?

Only where you allow it. By default a team plays once a day. You can allow doubleheaders for a division, a club or a single team: two games on the same day at the same field, with the minimum gap you set between them.

Does SportsPlanr only do soccer?

No. SportsPlanr schedules any team sport that uses seasons, divisions, teams and shared facilities, including baseball, softball, hockey, basketball and volleyball. One subscription covers every league and program in your organization.

Can it keep away games inside each division's travel times?

Yes. Each division sets the days and times its teams are able to travel, and SportsPlanr places away games inside those windows, alongside every other rule.

Does it schedule practices as well as games?

Yes. Practices compete for the same field time as games, so SportsPlanr schedules them together, and a block of time can be kept for practices only.

Does it schedule soccer playoffs and tournaments too?

Yes. Playoffs use seeded matchups, configurable series formats and a structure that progresses as teams advance. Tournaments get round-robin group play, bracket structure, seeding and game progression. Both are built in the same place, from the same fields, as your regular season.

How long does it take to build a soccer schedule?

Most organizations generate a complete schedule in minutes and re-check a rule change in seconds. Next season is faster still: clone this season's settings and start from there.

Is SportsPlanr a soccer schedule maker or schedule generator?

Yes, and more. A typical schedule maker or schedule generator pairs teams and assigns times. SportsPlanr generates the full soccer schedule — regular season, playoffs and tournaments — while solving fields, practices, travel and blackouts together, and tells you before it generates if your rules can't all be met.

Pricing is published per organization, never per player or per game — see plans and estimate your price. More questions are answered in the main FAQ.
